I’m sharing three cards, each one featuring a new set by Jane. Let’s go on a road trip together!

Road Trip

My first 5″ X 7″ card features the new Road Trip stamp set. How fun is this one?! I absolutely love a vintage van with all these fun characters inside. I colored everything using Copics. I placed these images on a watercolor and speckled background. I used a watercolor wash on the bottom for a dirt road look and then acrylic paints on top over a coral cardstock. I splattered on white, gold and some brown to pair well with the road below. A few clouds were added to the sky, too!

Lots of luggage was loaded on the top of this van. Of course, the fish pet and bird were necessary, too. I love the dinge on this van. This ole bus has travelled a few miles in its life! I used E and YR tones to create the rust look.

This Road Trip stamp set is now available in the Jane’s Doodles shop now! Get it now and save 25% off this weekend, too!

Old Is Gold

This slimline card measuring 3-1/2″ wide X 8-1/2″ tall showcases the vintage items in this throwback set called Old is Gold. I used gold paint to splatter the background on Neenah Solar White cardstock – keeping in theme with the set name. 🙂

Each image will take you back to a different time. I used colors from the MCM era to create a vintage feel I added a verse from the set inside the TV along with the sun image from Road Trip (featured above). I attached the images using Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares so they pop up a bit. Faux black stitching around the edge finishes off the card front.

One last look at the stamp set, Old is Gold before you move to card number three… it’s a pretty one!

Hope

For my last card, I used the new Hope floral stamp set. For this 5″ X 7 card, I used a watercolor background in browns, yellow-golds and metallic gold. This neutral background allows these florals to really steal the show.

I colored all the florals using Copic Sketch Markers. I used the following colors: R22, R21, R20, Y19, Y15, YG63, YG61, YG11, YG03, BV13, BV02 and some slight grays, too. The Hope florals were arranged and glued in place on the front. I also added the “with love” phrase from the same set. I fussy cut out all the elements including the phrase.

I added a few sequin pieces in a blush pink around the floral spray. I love the little sparkle it gives. I added a few white dots using my white gel pen. Finally, I adhered everything using HBS Precision Glue and Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares. Next, I stitched the watercolor background card front to my white card base to complete the card. I think this turned out so pretty!
