This month, @waffleflowercrafts is excited to share cheerful products that celebrate the sweet moments in everyday life. The company sent me some new products to design with and I sure had some fun doing it! Here’s the cards I made with the new products. I’m using the following new items from the Simple Joy release:
Cozy Spot die and coordinating Cozy Spot Coloring Stencil (Bundle)
Cozy Spot Pets Die (gift with purchase, see below)
Simple Joy stamp set and coordinating die set
Simple Joy Sentiments stamp set and coordinating die set (Bundle)
Old Friend stamp set and coordinating die set
Happy Circles Panel die and coordinating stencil (Bundle)
Cozy Spot Card

This 5″ X 7″ card features the Cozy Spot die, Cozy Spot Add-Ons Die and Cozy Spot Pets Die (gift with purchase, see below). There is also a Cozy Spot Coloring Stencil (Bundle) if you like to use a stencil to add shading and highlights. The stencil will assist in add dimension. For me, I love to add it myself. Using Copic Sketch Markers, I added additional detailing on the rug, recliner, throw blanket, planter, plant and wood floor. The sentiment is from the Subsentiments Cozy Diecut.

Cozy Spot Pets Die is a January gift with purchase. Add $60 or more to your cart from the new release and this one is free. Details on the left. This is a limited time offer and only available while supplies last so don’t wait!
Happy Circles Old Friend Card

For this 5″ X 7″ card, I used the Happy Circles Panel die, and the Old Friend stamp set and the coordinating die set. To make this card, I die cut several colors of cardstock using the Happy Circles Panel die. I used the throw away cuts to fill in the gray panel. This is so fun. You can make cool designs and patterns with different colors and patterns of colors. After gluing in the color pieces, I die cut and attached the larger black and whites sentiments and attached them with foam tabs. Next, I stamped the “We Go Waaaaay Back” at the bottom. Enamel dots in similar colors were attached around the sentiments to complete this look.
Wishing You Happy Pages Card

This 5″ X 7″ card was a fun one to make. It’s another cozy setting like the first card, but I changed it up in a few ways. I used the flooring and window from the Cozy Spot die. Using the Simple Joy stamp set and coordinating die set, I added the happy reader with her kitty, the dog and stack of books. I colored the design, adding some unexpected elements like a pattern on the sweater, a colorful block quilt pattern, a happy coffee mug and a fun wallpaper on the wall. I used the small flower stem design and Unchartered Mariner Distress Oxide Ink to create the wall paper pattern. I added a little white dot center in each flower using a white gel pen.
For a little unexpected, I added a framed print of the reader’s favorite dog, on the wall. I used the Postage Collage Frames die and the Postage Collage Woof Stencils to make this little extra special scene piece. 🙂 The sentiment is from the Subsentiments Cozy Diecut.
Framed Woofs Cards

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started with a fancy background using the Happy Leaves Panel Die using a warm gray cardstock with a white card base showing through. I die cut three frames from the Postage Collage Frames die set and stenciled three dogs using the Postage Collage Woof Stencils. To stencil the dogs, I followed the colors on the back of the product package almost to a T. However, I did change up the backgrounds. I stenciled blues, greens and golds on the backgrounds, giving some of the prints a multi-colored background. I attached the framed prints to the background using foam tabs to make them stand out. I added a sentiment below.
