Hello! I’m sharing some ideas this week using the new Spellbinders Stylish Ovals Collection April release. I received three products from the collection to share with you. I’ll be using the following sets over the next few days:
My card below measures 5″ X 7″ and fits inside an A7 envelope. I’m using 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card front and card bases. Everything is stamped using Hero Arts Intense Black Ink. I use Simon Says Stamp Dot Runner Tape Adhesive to attach the elements together. Here’s the details.
My card today features the Fill My Heart Sentiments clear stamp set. It’s part of the Stylish Ovals Collection. The set of 10 clear stamps is full of sentiments for all occasions. The floral half arch can be used to frame any of the sentiments for a lovely card. This one layer card does just that. It uses the flowers on the top and bottom and the sentiment is placed in the middle.
To make this card, I splattered some watercolor paint over the front panel measuring 5″ X 7″. I stamped the floral arch at the top and bottom, leaving room for the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment next, and then colored in the florals. I used Copic Markers to color them, using vibrant spring colors. I also added a shadow behind the flowers to make them stand out a bit more. I used a W3 and W1 gray for the shadows. I also used a white pen over the colors for the flower centers and highlight marks.
