We are still celebrating the new release, Adventure Awaits with Inspiration Week for Honey Bee Stamps. Today, I’m sharing the following new products:
Lovely Layers: Vintage Creel Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Trees Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Rod and Reel Honey Cuts dies
Lovely Layers: Slice and Stump Honey Cuts dies
In the Woods 3D Embossing Folder
Be Still stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies
Sweet Stacks: Oval Honey Cuts dies
I’m also using the Lovely Layers Spring Greenery Honey Cuts dies from the previous release for the charming flowers on this card.
The featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue for adhering my elements together. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.
For this 5″ X 7″ card, I embossed a separate piece of cardstock. using the In the Woods 3D Embossing Folder . I sponged on Twisted Citron and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide inks. I also used Copic BG72 to color in the open sky areas in a blue-green color. I used the largest oval in the Sweet Stacks: Oval Honey Cuts dies and cut the shape from the embossed piece and another in a warm gray. I layered them together, using the gray oval as a slight shadow to the embossed oval.
I used the Lovely Layers: Vintage Creel Honey Cuts dies to cut out all the pieces of the Creel basket from white cardstock. I colored the pieces, making the rattan a light tan color and the leather straps in a light aqua color. I enhanced the pieces using Copics for shading and Antique Linen for the textural color variation. This is a more feminine look for the creel which I think is very pretty! I added a couple of fish from the Lovely Layers: Rod and Reel Honey Cuts dies and colored them using BG72, BG93, BG15 and YG95.
Once the creel was assembled and glued together, I cut a couple of the trees using the Lovely Layers: Trees Honey Cuts dies and the floral stems and greenery stems using the Lovely Layers Spring Greenery Honey Cuts dies. I added some color to the flowers using Copics in E55, E53, RV85 and R12. It’s subtle, but adds a more feminine touch to enhance the creel. A slice of wood was also added to the vignette using Lovely Layers: Slice and Stump Honey Cuts dies. I colored the trunk using E49 and 100 and the wood rings in E53, E43, W2 and E51.
I attached everything and and added the creel with foam tabs to make it stand out and it also gave me some room to tuck in the stems behind it. Lastly, I added the sentiment from the Be Still stamp set and coordinating Honey Cuts dies.
