Hi there. I have a fun set of products to share from Spellbinders. The collection is called “Beads of Friendship” and include a few different hand options to wear these adorable friendship bracelets. If you are a Taylor Swift fan, you’ll know that she has made friendship bracelets very popular these days. I used one of those hands to create a gift card holder and a warrior friend card.
I’m using the following products:
Bestie Alphabet Beads & Sentiments Clear Stamp & Die Set from the Beads of Friendship Collection
Bestie Heart in Hand Etched Dies from the Beads of Friendship
Bestie Beaded Bracelets Etched Dies from the Beads of Friendship
For the basics… my featured project below is made from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for the card base and card front panel. All of the black ink stamping was done using Honey Bee’s Bee Creative Intense Black Ink. I use Honey Bee Stamps Bee Creative Precision Glue and for when I want more dimension, Bee Creative Foam Dots With Tab for adhering my elements together. My blender brushes (large and small) are a must for ink blending color on the background, too. For white highlights, I use my white Gelly Roll pen. My card is 5″ X 7″ in size.
“Card in Hand” Gift Card Holder
This gift card holder card measures 5″ X 7″ and features one of the hands from the Bestie Heart in Hand Etched Dies from the Beads of Friendship. Instead of adding the heart to the hand, I added a gift card. This could be any gift card your recipient would enjoy. It cold also be cash in the hand! I die cut all the beads, letters, etc. and assembled the bracelets to attach to the hand. I also added a black sleeve to the hand for a little more personalization and realism.
I added “Shop till you Drop” using two of the bead bracelets. These bracelets are so fun because you can personalize them to say whatever makes sense for your card theme for your recipient. Rhinestones “classed” up the bracelet on this hand. 🙂 I also used some of the hearts from the Bestie Beaded Bracelets Etched Dies from the Beads of Friendship to add “buttons” on the shirt’s sleeve. The phrase, “Have a marvelous time (shopping)” is from the set, Bestie Alphabet Beads & Sentiments Clear Stamp & Die Set from the Beads of Friendship Collection. This card measures 5″ X 7″ to give you some perspective on how large this hand is on the card!
Warrior Encouragement Card
I feel like everyday I learn of someone battling something in there life, whether it be cancer, heart disease, mental health and more. This is one of those cards that could maybe help someone battling something big in their lives. I made this card using the products listed above. In fact, I even used the bead cutout dies to create this unique background. Using, white on white, I cut out three sets of the letters from one sheet of 5″ X 7″ white cardstock. I added the words back into the cut outs, “You Got This” with a few hearts, smiley faces and some red dots to direct the reader’s attention to the hand to the right.
For the bracelets, I used the words, “fearless” and “warrior” for a friend of mine battling breast cancer. I also used the colors pink and red for the nails and beads to make it very feminine. You could change these colors to fit any situation such as teal hearts for ovarian cancer or purple for pancreatic cancer, etc.
The hand set comes with a red heart to add to the hand which I did here.
