Our 16-year old twins just got their licenses (one day after their 16th birthday). First, I’m relieved that they both passed on their first time. Second, I’m excited that the Mom’s Uber business can take a break now. While there are lots of benefits to having new drivers in the family, there also comes new worries. For now, I think it’s time to relax this weekend at the lake and have a drink on the deck with the hubby!
I used my very favorite cocktail stamp set called Cocktail Mixers with its matching dies from Newton’s Nook to create this look. The plank background was made by simply creating horizontal lines with a black marker and a straight edge. I added some graining using Copics in the W and C colors and then swiped some silver metallic ink and black ink on the white cardstock. Used the same technique for the gray shelf, switching out the colors and using a white Signo gel pen. The bottom half of the card was designed to whimsically mimic industrial corrugated metal with some patina using bold colors. I edged the bottom to give it some dimension. The saying is from the Adult Beverage Sayings set by Simon Says Stamp. This is another great set if you like drink cards for adults!
