Today is my birthday and I will be eating CAKE! I felt it was only appropriate for me to share a card I made using the new stamp set, Cake Tester by Craftin’ Desert Divas. It’s fun to be the “cake tester for the day,” right?!
I really wanted to make this card show a lot of sky for my clouds and rainbows so I made my card 3.5″ X 8″. When I make my cards non-standard sizes, I use my We R Memories Envelope Maker to make a coordinating envelope that can fit the card properly.
To make this card, I used my Copic Sketch Markers to color the unicorn/balloon image and fussy cut the image. (There are coordinating dies for this set available, too.) I added white dots to the balloons using a Signo Uni-ball pen. I die cut my clouds out of the front and backed it with a light blue cardstock so the clouds had a shaded effect below. I added a bright rainbow towards the top. The cloud and rainbow dies are available in one die set which is awesome. I added the “Happy Birthday” phrase from stamp set, Happy Sentiments and adhered some fun Blue Diamond Sequins to the front. Lastly, I added a few strips of color to the bottom to unite the rainbow at the top to the bottom for unity and balance.
