Today begins a new challenge for Jane’s Doodles. Link your card for a chance to be the random winner of a $30 gift certificate. You have two weeks to make the project so let’s get busy! This challenge theme is a watercolor theme. Here are the rules:
- Use at least one Jane’s doodles supply on your project.
- No back linking – The project you enter must be new.
- Follow the challenge theme. That’s it!
Here’s my inspiration card for the challenge. I used the stamp set, Stinks! with coordinating dies. I used Canson XL watercolor paper for the card front and trees along with Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi 36 count watercolor paint . After adding shades of pink, I splattered red droptlets and metallic gold on the paper to make a unique and organic background.
The scene is placed on a pierced heart shape die that is popped up with dimensional foam. The skunks and trees were set in place. A few love blue love birds from the same set were added to the trees and the phrase, “You’re Scentsational” was embossed on black cardstock in white and added to the lower right corner. I added a few daisies around those skunks for some prettier smells. 🙂 I felt it needed a little more black to ground it, so I added some black stitching around the edges of the watercolor paper to finish this 5″ X 7″ card.
