Hello pet lovers! I’ve got a special card for you today. Working at home during Covid-19 equals happy pets. They love to help us in our offices. While I’m working in my office, my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel pup, Stella Mae is either on my lap, at my feet or in her dog bed close to my desk. The Gray Muse Stamps has two sets – Dogs in the Craft Room and Cats in the Craft Room that help share and celebrate our friendship with our four-legged friends, even during work-at-home, pandemic times.
Our dogs are our friends, BFFs, and assistants at times. 🙂 They are eager to help anytime we are trying to get our work done. I created a home office scene inside this slimline card to show our pups in action. Don’t worry cat lovers… I’ll be sharing a card for you next week!
The Dogs in the Craft Room stamp set includes seven adorable “working” pups. I’ve used the the cute writing pup, laptop pup and the one holding the sign in the inside panel of the card. The Dogs in the Craft Room stamp set includes fun phrases that fit inside the notebook paper, laptop screen, and sign, too.
On the card front, I used the envelope pup. A touch of Distressed Ink in Mustard Seed and Rusty Hinge creates a spotlight background on the front to match the wall color of the home office inside.
To create the wall backdrop, I used Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paints in yellows with a bit of pink and browns to create the washed look on Canson XL Bristol Smooth paper. I sprinkled water on the wash and soaked up the drops using a paper towel to create this look. I used craftroom furniture digi stamps by The Greeting Farm for the desk, chair, bookshelf and pen holder.
On the back of the card, I used the sleeping dog and hand wrote “long day” below it. After a day of work, it’s time to take a nap! This card measures 8-1/2″ wide X 3-1/2″ tall and fits inside a business-sized envelope.
