Hi Friends! The Make Merry release by Simon Says Stamp is now live and available to purchase. Today I’m using the following products for this table-scape project for your thanksgiving or fall dinner parties:

I created the dinner menu and/or invitation, place cards, and napkin rings by simply stamping the autumn leaf designs on Canson XL Bristol Smooth watercolor paper and then coloring them with my Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors in teals, greens, gold, rusts and browns. This is super easy to do and costs pennies to customize and personalize your table for the holidays. Here’s a few close ups of the projects.

Invitation / Dinner Menu / Hostess Gift Thank Yous

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I stamped and colored the leaves and berries in with watercolors. Once it was dry, I splattered black watercolor paint over the top for a more organic feel. This is super simple, friends! The die was cut out of a dark brown and an light, warm gray cardstock. I added some hemp twine to it to fit the natural feel of these beautiful leaves! This card could be used for the dinner party invitations, dinner menu at the event and/or a thank you for the hostess gifts received.

Place / Table Cards

It’s important to let your guests know where to sit at the dinner table. I also like to use place cards on my buffet to let people know the name of each dish. It’s also helpful to note allergy information such as: “peanut-free,” “includes seafood” or “gluten-free” info. In the design above, you could write the info or name of the person in the die cut box. Here’s another option…

Think how beautiful it would be to handwrite the name of the person on the teal using a Uni-ball Signo gold gel pen.  

Napkin Ring

Lastly, adding coordinating details such a napkin rings, napkins and table runners is also fun and beautiful. I’ve stamped many napkins before to match my table display! Stamps are awesome for this. Just have fun with it and enjoy the process. Then, sit back and enjoy the compliments of your guests when they realize you made all of these coordinated and beautiful decorations for the table and buffet!
