Hi Friends. I’m feeling joyful today. My twins’ have all of their college applications submitted and now we just wait and see which schools accept them next year. It’s an exciting time for them, for sure. Meanwhile, I’ve been busy creating lots of holiday cards and tags for next month. I made this card using products by Simon Says Stamp. These products are from their latest release, Holly Jolly.

To create this 5″ X 7″ card, I stamped the Merry Christmas Outline background stamp in Versamark and embossed using Wow! Bright White Opaque Embossing Powder on four colors of cardstock – aqua blue, red, lime green and fuchsia. I cut all of them into strips and matched up the design so that it was a continuous pattern, but on different colors. Because the background stamp is 6″ X 6″ and I make 5″ X 7″ cards, I have a white border on the top and bottom of my card front.

I die cut the CZ Design Joy Script die from white and the shadow layer from black and 3MM black foam. I layered them all together and adhered them using Honey Bee Stamps Precision Glue. (I love this glue!) I added a few white snowflakes using the simon snowflake dies, Rina and Alexis.

I added some sparkle by gluing on red, white and iridescent sequins, too. I used a fine-tip black marker to add faux double stitching on the top and bottom to finish the card. I like the little bit of black to coordinate with the Joy black shadow. My card is ready to give or send!
