Hi, crafty friends! I’m back today with a sweet card full of festive fun with these sweet Paperie Ink characters. Sherry’s critters at Paperie Ink are so adorably cute. I used a couple of sets to make this card: Autumn Fun and Like Christmas. The little bird and ornamental accessories are from the Like Christmas stamp set. Two of the raccoons are from the same set and the other two coons are from Autumn Fun. The Warm Wishes die cut is from Hello Bluebird.

To make the 5″ X 7″ card, I started with watercolor paper for the background. I added a minty blue colorwash to the front panel piece using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors (48)   and Canson XL Bristol Smooth watercolor paper.  Later, I splattered Dr. Ph Marten’s Bleed Proof paint to the background.

I added a pink wash to a scrap piece of watercolor paper and die cut the words from it. The words were backed with 3MM white craft foam to make it dimensional.  I added a torn strip of 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock to create the snowy ground at the bottom.

All the characters and ornaments were stamped, colored with Copics and fussy cut out. (I used the colors listed below.) I attached the elements using Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares to the ones that are sticking out such as the bird and the two upper raccoons. I added some baker’s twine in red and white stripe to these raccoons as if it were string or rope. The ornament and Santa hats were attached to it with the foam squares, too. I use HBS Precision Glue to adhere everything into place. Once everything was set, I added shadowing to the snow and aqua flakes to the sky using a BG13 Copic Marker.

  • Ornaments, bird and Santa hats: R29, R85, R83, R81, C1, BG49, BG13, BG11, BG10, YG38, YG08
  • Shading: BV000, BV00, C3, C1
