Hey Simon friends, I wanted to share more cards today that celebrate the latest release, Born to Sparkle by Simon Says Stamp. The release is live and available to shop anytime. Today, I’m sharing three very relevant graduation cards for 2021 seniors. I have two seniors and this year is all about pandemic, hybrid schools, mask-wearing, virtual classes and more! this senior class has had to endure a lot this year and give up a lot, too. The products by Simon Says Stamp include:
Open Grid Background stamp set
Virtual Grad Stamp and coordinating die set bundle
Rad Grad (for the “5” only)
All three cards below measure 5″ X 7″ A7 size.
Cheers Grad Card
My first card features the computer screen from the Virtual Grad Stamp and coordinating die set bundle. I did not want to use the lion image on the screen because it felt a little juvenile for senior grads so I added a piece of black and white striped pattern paper, cut the size of the screen and added the word Cheers from the set to it. The screen was colored in using B45, B41 and B21. I die cut the design and added it to the front using a Scrapbook Adhesives White Foam Squares.
For the background, I added designs from the set and did some simple coloring using B45, B41, B21, C5, C3 and C1. I kept it easy and simple, but I love the blue and black together.
Inside, I added a message from the same set. Clean, simple and very relevant!
Elbow Bumps Grad Card
This grad card is all about the mask! I stamped all these masks on this 5″ X 7″ front panel and added the sentiment in the center that says it all. I think it’s so cute with each mask in different, bright color. I used Copic colors: B45, B21, BG23, BG10, V09, V04, Y38, Y19, YG03, YG00, YR68, Y38, R29, and R14. All you really need is a dark and light of a color to color these masks.
I also added a strip of the Open Grid Background stamp set design (a scrap piece I had on hand from another card) and striped black and white pattern paper on the bottom to finish the front. This could be any fun pattern paper piece. I love the contrast of black and white here.
Inside, I stamped a very fitting mask sentiment as well as the large “Happy Graduation” phrase to complete the card.
High 5 Grad Card
For this 5″ X 7″ card, I used the Open Grid Background stamp set and stamped it in black. I colored in some of the blocks using the colors of the high school for this graduate. I used Copic colors: V09, BV01, V12, V00, V000. You can choose any colors here to personalize it or use golds for a black and gold general grad card.
The phrases stamped at the top and I added some silver star embellishments around it.
I added very HIGH positioned “5” numbers in the inside to fit with the “High Fives” phrase at the bottom. All of the phrases are from the Virtual Grad Stamp and coordinating die set bundle. The number is from the Rad Grad set, another grad set I used every year by CZ Design at Simon Says Stamp
