It’s the third day of sneak peeks for Honey Bee Stamp’s holiday 2021 release called, “Vintage Holiday.” This release will go live on Thursday, October 14. Today, I’m sharing the following new products from the release: (Links will work the evening of October 14, when the release goes live.)

Merry Mice stamp set and coordinating die set

Merry Christmouse stamp set and coordinating die set

These sets are designed to work together to create little works of art with these sweet little creatures (way cuter mice here than in person).

This card measures 5″ X 7″ and fits inside an A7 envelope for mailing.

Merry Little Mice Card

To make this card, I started by trimming my front panel to 5″ X 7″ from  80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock. I used my Blending Brushes and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink to create the soft peachy-colored background. I blended in a circular motion, with less ink on my brush around the edges. I used two snowflakes from the Merry Mice stamp set to add a few outlying snowflakes around the focal area.

Next, I stamped the mice and tree using Bee Creative No Line Coloring Ink and colored the images in using the following Copic Marker colors:

Mice: W3, W1, W0, R000, R00, a white Gelly Roll pen, lead pencil and a think primsacolor black marker. The book – YG95, YG93, YG91

Tree: E59, E57, E43, BG75, BG72, Bg11, Bg11, R14, R08, R00, R000, Y28, Y26 and copper glitter drops.

Because I used a type of hatching style for the fur and branches, I chose to fussy cut my images, allowing the tiny marks to show around the edges. However, if you don’t like hand cutting images, there are coordinating dies to die cut these out! This is my first time trying out this style. I need more practice, but I like the look of it. 🙂

All of the creatures and the tree were attached using Scrapbook Adhesive foam tabs. I stamped two phrases from the Merry Christmouse stamp set  and added Copper Glitter to the tree garland and pearl dots to the snowflakes. I attached the front panel to a card base made from 80lb Neenah Solar White to finish this card.
