Everything is better together, right?! I love my girlfriends and we have such a fun time together. I have one very good friend that loves foxes so this card may be sent her way this month, for her birthday! For this 5″ X 7″ card, I started with a wash of light watercolor paints for the background. I use Canson XL Large (blue pad) for my paper and adhere it with doubled sided tape to my white card base made from 80lb Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I use Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors. To complete the background, I added lots of cute little mushrooms from the Collection Memories stamp set at the bottom for a bit of a border. How cute are these mushrooms?! I colored them in tans and reds for a fun little detail. (Copics: R46, R29, E43, E53, E50)

I stamped all of the shown images in black ink, colored them with Copics (see colors below) and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I added fruit to the wagons, gifts and apples to the backs of the foxes, foxes to the trailers and daisies around this bicycling bear. There’s lots of elements in this set for different holidays. I chose to use most of them like the presents that also fit in the trailer and the apples on top of the fox. Yes, maybe a little goofy, but it’s fun and whimsical with lots to see. I attached the elements using foam dots to make them stand out from the background and added some shadowing using a warm gray – W4, W2 and W0 at the bottom to ground them.

Copic Sketch Markers colors used:

  • E59, E56, E55, E53, E51, E43, E42
  • R89, R46, R27, R17, R14
  • YR27, YR24, YR21
  • YG99, YG97, YG93, YG17, YG03
  • B02, B00, B000
  • White Gelly Roll Pen

I stamped the sentiments above the featured animals, added clouds in the “washed” sky, a few falling leaves and specks of black in the sky to finish the look. The clouds were attached with glue. I hope you like it!
