You know what is right around the corner? Mother’s Day and Release Day for this stunner set! I’m using Honey Bee Stamps, Mother’s Day stamp and die sets today for my card project.  This is one of the new sets to be released on April 19. It’s part of Honey Bee Stamps 4th BEEday Anniversary! You will want the coordinating die set for this stamp set because it will save you so much time if you want to create window cards. There’s two beautiful options for creating die cut windows which makes this an exceptional coordinating die set.

To make this card, I started by splattering the card front with some black watercolor and a brush. Next, I die cut the front. Now for the flowers…after stamping the design I colored the flowers using shades of reds from Copic R89 to R14 for the berries, YG67 to YG03 for the leaves and BG59 to BG00 for the flowers. I used a Signo Uni-ball white gel pen to create the flower center. The phrase was stamped in black and the word “mother” was die cut.

I did not put a clear window front on the opening. I let it be completely open, but you certainly could add a clear piece to the back of the card front. My mother passed away in 2010 so I will be using this set for much more than Mother’s day. I think it will make beautiful birthday, thank you, thinking of you and get well cards, too.

The entire 4th anniversary Honey Bee release will be available on April 19 so get your wish list ready! There are so many new sets in this release. Plus, each day Honey Bee is doing special blog posts this week with chances to win prizes, too! Check daily for more inspiration from the design team and don’t forget to put this pretty set on your list, too!

Thanks for visiting!  Have a BEE-YOU-tiful day today!
