It’s Day 2 of the Sneak Peeks of the Honey Bee Stamps Holiday Cheer release. Today, I’m sharing a new set called Santa’s Village stamp and coordinating die set. This festive set is full of holiday happiness!
My card measures 5″ X 7″ flips vertically. On the outside panel, you can see Santa’s toy shop in the background, up on the snowy hill at the North Pole. 🙂 Little elves from the set are bringing candy canes and presents down to fill Santa’s sleigh. Mrs. Claus is waving Santa goodbye. Because this card is busy with lots activity and images from the set, I kept the background mainly white and the color scheme simple in reds, white, aqua/teals and charcoal/black.
I allowed Mrs. Claus and the lamplight extend beyond the front panel curve so that the two images actually keep it closed, too. To make the curve, I used a die from this set! Everything you need to make this card is included in the stamp and die sets collectively which is really awesome. I stamped the verse, “Santa Claus is coming to town” so that it shows on both the front and in the inside of the card.
Just a flip of the card and Santa has traveled from the North Pole to town! I filled the hills with houses, barns and trees from the set. Each one was colored using the color scheme. Snow was added to the sky and hills, too.
