It’s the first day of sneak peeks for Honey Bee Stamp’s holiday 2021 release called, “Vintage Holiday.” This release will go live on Thursday, October 14. Today, I’m sharing the following new products from the release (Links will work October 14, when the release goes live.)
A2 Scene Builder Card Base die set
A2 Mountain Scene Builder Add-On die set
Snow Family Like Ours stamp set and coordinating die set
Playful Pastels 6″ X 6″ paper pad
I made this 3D card that folds completely flat for mailing. The card measures 5-1/2″ wide X 4-1/4″ tall to fit inside an A2-sized envelope. I used papers from the Playful Pastels pattern paper pad to cover the entire white box inside and outside (except for the back).
To make this card, I started by making the 3D scene box. The box dies and the add-on dies together create a diorama card. I love the mountain that is in the far back! Before attaching the landscape scene add-on layers, I die cut the box out of white cardstock (80lb Neenah Solar White) and then covered them with identical die cuts made from pattern papers. I glued the layers together and then added the landscape layers. Using the add-on set, I also die cut two small trees and the mountain snowcap for the large mountain.
I stamped, colored and die cut the large tree on the left and the two snowmen in the scene from the stamp set, Snow Family Like Ours . I attached them to the interior layers, adding the tree right behind the foreground and the snowmen on the middle layer. The two smaller trees were attached to the mountain layer and the middle layer. I used the following Copic colors:
- Trees: YG67, YG17, YG03 and a white gelly roll pen
- Snowmen: C7, C5, C3, C1, YG03, BG49, BG23, BG000, R29, R83, R14, YR04, YR68, and a white gelly roll pen
The phrase was stamped using Bee Creative Intense Black Ink and die cut using the coordinating die.
To finish the card, I attached the phrase and used Liquid Applique in white to add the snowballs in the background, the mountain snow cap, and the top edge of the interior landscape layers. Liquid Applique creates a dimensional, fluffy snow-like, accent.
