Hi friends, I have a quick card to share that features several sets by Trinity Stamps. I’m using sets that were not designed to complement each other, but really do! Yep, there’s a pun involved. 🙂 I’m using the new You Rock die set with the Happy Hour stamp and coordinating die set to make this card.
To make this card, I stamped and colored up the drinks and olives using Copic Sketch Markers. Everything was die cut. I hand drew the ice cubes and fussy cut them out, too. The ice was added to only one of the martinis. The olives were also adhered to the drinks and the liquid was colored over them. I set the drinks aside while I worked on the background.
I created the background by taking scrap pieces of watercolor designs I’ve made and pieced them together on a 5″ X 7″ card front. I use Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paints and Canson XL watercolor paper to make all these scrap pieces. I adhered them in place like a puzzle and did a zigzag stitch on each seam using my sewing machine.
I stamped the phrase from the Happy Hour set and attached the drinks using dimensional foam to the watercolor background so they stand out a bit. I stamped some bubbles above each drink. The You Rock phrase was cut from black cardstock using the new die and attached to the top of the one martini with cubes in it. I attached this card front to a 5″ X 7″ card base made from 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock to complete the card.
